Food & Beverage Venues like Bars, Nightclubs, and Restaurants

Hotels, Motels and Bed & Breakfasts
Sports Venues like Bowling Centers, Sports Arenas, Skating Rinks Major Sports Facilities like Lambeau Field and Miller Park
Private Clubs like VFWs, American Legion, and others Resident Halls at Colleges & University campuses
Educational Facilities Child Care Centers
Correctional Facilities Theatres
Government Buildings like the state Capitol and municipal government buildings
Health and Medical facilities like hospitals, doctor's offices, and other treatment facilities State Institutions like mental health facilities and facilities for people with disabilities
Inpatient healthcare facilities like county homes, nursing homes, hospice, and the veteran’s home Public transportation including bus shelters
Common area of multi-unit apartment buildings All other places that are enclosed workplaces but might not be listed here

What is exempt?

Private residences
Certain residence rooms in assisted living facilities which are designated as smoking
Tobacco retailers* who generate more than 75% of its revenue from the sale of tobacco not including cigarettes Tobacco bars* which generate 15% or more of its revenue from the sale of cigars or pipe tobacco (vending machines are not included)
*Smoking of cigarettes is prohibited in both tobacco retailers and tobacco bars
